Common Area Tree Policy

At the September Meeting of the Board of Directors, the Common Area Tree Policy was adopted. The policy reflects the Board of Directors commitment to maintaining a healthy urban forest.

As the trees age and grow over time, homeowners may find cause for concern about a particular tree and wish for it to be removed. Trees in the common area will be considered for removal by the Association contingent upon the following criteria, to be determined by a certified arborist:

  • Dead
  • Dying
  • Diseased
  • Dangerous
  • Destructive

Please note: Tree Removals by Owners: Common area trees are not to be trimmed or removed by individual owners. A homeowner that wishes to request removal of a tree on Association common area should contact management and it will be reviewed by an ISA certified arborist.

Finally, the policy covers re-forestation, with the commitment that for every tree that is removed from common area grounds, one tree will be planted. The location of the newly planted tree does not necessarily have to go in the same location of the tree that was removed.

Community Concrete Repairs and Replacements

There will be a number of concrete repairs and replacements performed in the Flora Vista community beginning on Monday, April 16th and the work will continue for about 2 weeks.

Although notices will be posted at homes of those who may be temporarily affected, we are providing this 2018 concrete map HERE so that residents can make sure to refrain from parking vehicles at or near any of the locations marked in red on this map starting on April 16th until the project is completed.

Help Flora Vista Keep Costs Down!

Some of your membership assessments go to pay for office or administrative services such as paper copies, envelopes and postage. We would like to save your money where we can by sending some communication such as newsletters and notices directly to your email address instead of through the mail.

Providing your email address to the HOA and Management can save Flora Vista literally $500-$1,000 a year in this area.

To consent to this service, please either email the Community Manager at ssears@actionlife.com or sign-on to your homeowner VIVO account and edit your contact information by clicking on the “my account” tab on this page.

Reminder - Exterior Alterations

As a reminder, ALL alterations to the exterior of your home, including your front yard, back yard and home itself, MUST first have approval by the Flora Vista Architectural Committee.

To obtain the most recent ARC Guidelines and an ARC application, please download it through your VIVO account in the Homeowners Portal at https://www.vivoportal.com or click on the Architectural tab on this website.
